Promiseland is NCC children’s ministry for children ages 6 weeks through 5th grade.
WHATEVER….
Phillipians 4:8 says, “ finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable---if anything is excellent or praiseworthy---think about such things.”
I am loving this!! WHATEVER is Promisland’s new motto.
Last month I wrote about setting goals. Man, what a gauge to use to measure your goals! I know that in my family we will definitely use the ”whatever” system. I want my children to be whatever children! I want everything in my life to reflect whatever!!
From now on whenever I use that word, it will have a whole new meaning. Where was this verse in our parenting handbooks?? I want the T-shirt and I will not sell it at a yard sale! I am all about this! WHATEVER!!! I could shout it from the roof tops! Okay…I know I am sooo easily excited! But this, people, is good stuff. Truth, nobility, righteousness, purity, loveliness, admirableness…now that’s what I’m talkin’ about.
Paul tells us to think about such things. It’s somewhat of a shame that he feels the need to point out that these are the things you need to think about. Sometimes I think we get so caught up with life, we forget these things. Yeah…I’m guilty. I forget whatever. It’s not that I consciously put these things aside. I just don’t go over the list everyday to make sure what I am doing is whatever worthy. Maybe we should take a minute at the beginning of each day to review whatever list. Then again each night….can you imagine sitting your family down and asking if everything they did that day was worthy of whatever?
I’m on a mission here. To instill whatever into the minds of my children..and husband…and self! If I can get my entire household to practice whatever ….we could change the world. I can tell my children, they can tell their children…I’m talking generations of whatever! That’s a legacy worth leaving. A verse that could change the world….mmmm….. whatever!

We here at NCC understand that first a church for children must be fun and attractive, filled with appropriate games and activities. Second, a church for children is fast paced and engaging, so that their attention can be captured. Third, a church for children must have a message that is filled with the truth of God’s word which transforms and edifies!
Every Sunday, volunteers come and work together in their unique roles to creat a loving enviorment for our children. Promiseland is completely fueled by volunteers. We could not exist without their expertise!
